Kathryn Andrews, Founder

Kathryn’s interest and experimentation in the field began when she was a teenager living with her grandparents. Her curiosity to be involved with the aging population led her to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant in skilled nursing care while attending college. Kathryn has a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and is completing a Masters degree at the University of Southern California. She has worked for Fortune 500 healthcare organizations where she continuously is involved in risk management, ergonomics in healthcare, injury prevention, OSHA compliance, and development of safety programs. Kathryn is Certified-Aging-in-Place (CAPS) trained and holds an Executive Certificate in Home Modification from the University of Southern California. Kathryn is dedicated to maximizing independence for people of all ages through a supportive home environment.

Claudia Montoya, Residential Designer & Business Development

Claudia has a B.S. degree from California State University, Fullerton in Human Development and a Residential Design Certificate from Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach. Claudia specializes in residential space planning and design resources for Home Modification. Claudia is Certified-Aging-in-Place (CAPS) trained and is a member of the Down with Falls Coalition in Orange County. Claudia has a background in project management and business development, and joined Safe at Home because she feels that people should have the opportunity to stay in their home without being fearful.
